Re: Josh Gordon
the KC pass rush helped him do that, he's a great talent but the KC defensive front made a lot of QBs hurry passes and make bad throws which is why I want the Saints to use the 12th pick this year and their 1st rounder next year on defensive lineman that specialize in rushing the passer.

Re: Josh Gordon
We're not that desperate at wr. What kinda message will that send to our young wr? Risk is not worth the reward due to how drew like to spread the ball.

Re: Josh Gordon
You know, I'm all about having good character guys but sometimes you really need take a risk or two. I'm not saying we NEED Josh Gordon, but if he became available you aren't ever going to get a better player for a cheaper price. Who does it hurt if it doesn't work? Him. So why not?
But as others have said, it simply won't happen. Not unless Sean has some great revelation in a dream to change his mind. That irritates me a little bit. Because it's not just about Gordon, it's all the players in the past that we've missed on because of Payton's character crusade. I'm sorry, but while a strong locker room is important, let's not pretend that the NFL is the league of (actual) saints. If you're worried that one or two guys are going to infect the whole team, then maybe your whole team lacks the character you think it has. We watched Brandon Browner act like a fool, and play horribly all year, yet they kept trotting him out there. That's where Payton lost some credibility with me. They badly misjudged him, and didn't want to admit the mistake. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Re: Josh Gordon
That's one of the reasons I want us to have more weapons. Weapons will beat defenses a couple big plays a game and we're asking for our spread the ball around time consuming drive offense to compete with quick strike offenses. Atlanta though isn't the problem if they get Gordon. Carolina and TB on the other hand are.
