Top three talent at WR with repeated drug abuse suspensions.IMHO I would take a risk on a potential superstar provided a contract with ironclad safeguards and no guaranteed money. Hire the best rehabilitation specialist and help this talented and troubled young man fulfill his potential. Win WIn.. The pick should.be conditional on his continued sobriety.

Re: Josh Gordon
If we could sign him to a one year prove it with no dead money I'd be up for it.
However I don't see Payton wanting him after all the trouble he's had. |

Re: Josh Gordon
Amazing talent, but just can't make the good choices. I was impressed with Honey Badger turning it around, but I think he's in the minority. Gordon just doesn't seem to have that same desire to actually want to play. It'd be a waste of time, paper and money for this guy.

Re: Josh Gordon
Talk about a huge waste in talent. Fact is, wether you agree with why he was supended or not, he had multiple chances and opportunities to do the right thing and follow the rules. He chose marijuana over a lucrative career.
Regardless, I just don't see him in the black and gold. Payton has trust issues anyway. He's not going to even consider someone that has to be babysat that much off the field. |

Re: Josh Gordon
If he does't have the brains to understand that his BS is costing millions, he likely doesn't have the brains to understand Payton's offense.
If you wonder if Payton has a low tolerance for this BS, ask Joe Morgan. |
