I think he would do pretty good at LT. We could own this draft and bundle to get who ever we wanted. Come on down Mr. Ramsey, come on down.
I wouldn't be opposed to trading Cam Jordan if we got enough high picks in return to replace and add, and get some future cap relief as well as get younger at the position...

Gotta a feeling Goodell's gotta itch and Cam's going to get four unpaid weeks off this season anyways...

I happen to know a guy, who knows a girl, who knows a girl, who works in accounting for the Superdome, who knows a guy, who cleans the turf and knows a guy, who knows a trainer for the Saints, who knows a Scout. Word is that the Saints are moving to #1 for Elliot. Just passing along this solid rumor.

Exile, I've seen History of the World, Part 1 and it's not 'cake or death?' it's 'hump or death?'

You should really know your history

FANSPEAK:

two trades were performed:

trade down in the 1st.
NYJets proposed a trade & of course id love to pick up some extra selections.
swapped 1st rounders & received the Jets Round 2(20) & 3(20).

trade up in the 2nd.
swapped 2nd rounders with Jacksonville & gave up our 3rd rounder(Pick 15)

results:

R1P20 - WR, Josh Doctson - TCU
R2P07 - DT, Vernon Butler - Louisiana Tech
R2P20 - DE, Bronson Kaufusi - BYU
R3P20 - OG, Joshua Garnett - Stanford
R4P14 - DL, Adam Gotsis - Georgia Tech
R5P13 - OLB, Joe Schobert - Wisconsin
R7P16 - S, Justin Simmons - Boston College

would be crazy! some of these outcomes are very realistic, but Justin Simmons doesn't go in the 7th. & i believe if Butler doesn't go in the 1st he doesn't get out of the top 5 picks in the 2nd. high chance Tennessee takes him at the top of the 2nd. just my thoughts.
Sarik, good to see you back...

If Vernon Butler makes it out of the first round, or even the top twenty-five picks, I'd be totally shocked...

Have been a big fan of Kaufusi and hoping he sneaks by to us, same with Gotsis - both are versatile and are absolute monsters in waiting...

Am trending away from Garnett and Stanford Offensive Linemen for that matter; there's just something not happening there...

Like Schobert too, but like ILB Nick Vigil even more and would like to see Vigil drafted for our WLB spot and then let him transition behind Laurinaitis...

Really only need one more good interior offensive lineman, Peat doesn't seem likely to unseat Strief, so Peat will probably be our left guard for now...

Unlike some here, really pumped for Tim Lelito to make the next step, shoring up his pass protection and become a top RIGHT guard, his natural position from Grand Valley State days...

Of note, the Saints during Coach Payton's tenure have never traded back in the first round...

Re: Crazy, Off The Charts Draft Scenarios

Thanks Jeanpierre, I agree 100%. I LOVE Kaufusi & Gotsis in round 2/3or4 for us. Kaufusi has a little Henry Anderson to his game who i loved last year, but he's better at this point even thought i thought Anderson flew a little under the radar last year. Gotsis has some Derek Wolfe but needs coaching as he's still raw. You cant help but love his measurables as well. I put Garnett there for the thought of SP taking a lineman we're not expecting, theres some traits i like from Garnett but i agree. I just want an OL with a meanstreak, he shows that sometimes. Vigil>schobert imo as well, love his athleticism.i think we see eye to eye on most things draft bud.

Re: Crazy, Off The Charts Draft Scenarios

actual the way all the mocks and big boards are set up right now I see CB as the main target for a trade down to happen. unless a QB falls into our laps.

Oakland
12 for 14 (100)
swap 47 for 44 (30)
swap 79 for 74 (15)
114 (66)

Rams
12 for 15 (150)
swap 47 for 43 (40)
110. (74)

there has been some rumor that the pats may trade up in round 2

79 for 60 and 91?

Then there is phili who might trade back into round 2 if a trade in round 1 can not be reached.

Any ways I think the swapping and moving up in round 2 even a few spot will huge. This could be a Jaylon Smith pick type of swap. If the medicals check out gotta get ahead of the Bears at the very least. I am not ruling out Smith at 12 if it checks out 100%. heck of a gamble. lol

Cornerback, huh?!? I'm thinking William Jackson III, Houston would be the target if that happen...
