Eli Apple and Mackensie Alexander are in that mix also. CB needs are the one thing all three have in common. after Ramsey and Hardgreaves are off the board Things start going south real fast. Even though I am not a huge Hardgraves fan. I think the #3 CB will not make it past Miami. IMO will be Eli Apple.

CB? There are a lot of these guys I didn't see much of, but I did watch Apple a lot. I'm wondering if his success was due in great part to an amazing pass rush. If we're really shopping for a CB, shouldn't we look for a guy who did pretty good playing for a team with a crappy DL?

Seer.. excellent question. I think most NFL scouts are looking for certain traits in a Pro prospect at corner regardless of who plays in front of them. Technique, instincts, speed, tackling ability & job knowledge (knowing coverages). Even some of the better NFL team scouts can check all of the boxes on a player and still not have a feel for how they will do in a different scheme or pass rush up front.

I truly believe that level of competition & production are great, however those aforementioned traits, coachability (not sure that is a word) & ability are as equally important.

Great post! However, I must ask, is coach even a word on our defensive side of the ball? :-)
