This is nearly as good a misdirection as the \"nevermind the WAR raging somewhere that nobody cares about, let\'s talk about gays\" of the last election.

Wow, this will stir the pot.

...the article says \"total salary\".. probably they are including things like roster /performance bonuses?
If Brooks was paid more in performance bonuses than McNabb was, I might pull a danno and go kick a cat.

[Edited on 2/3/2005 by BlackandBlue]
..well, it depends what the qualification of \"performance\" is...

McNabb\'s performance escalator: 20 TD\'s in a season
Brooks\' performance escalator: successfully opened box of Corn Flakes during breakfast without fumbling...

Whoa! That almost reeks of political banter which under Section 17 Article 12 Paranthetical abreviation 1.6 is in clear violation of board policy!

And of all people!!! :P

Wow, this will stir the pot.

I agree with most of that. Most good strategists in ALL walks of life utilize the concept of a contingency plan. It confuses me why the team has not addressed this situation yet. I don\'t see how even the BIGGEST AB supporter could argue against bringing someone else in to challenge, if for no other reason than to push him.
I don\'t think you\'ve heard anyone saying not to bring someone else in. It just that the point may be lost in the ride Brooks out on the rails debate.

As to the rest of the message, I\'ll take a page from the Whodi book and simply leave it alone.

From reading some of his posts on the EE Board, I think he dislikes George W. even more than Haslett.
