this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Not a big fan of Garnett, in fact, am hoping we don't mistake drafting him... The guy I'm really like for us, and for how we use our guards, is NC State Joe Thuney... Reminds me alot of Carl Nicks ...

Not a big fan of Garnett, in fact, am hoping we don't mistake drafting him...
The guy I'm really like for us, and for how we use our guards, is NC State Joe Thuney... Reminds me alot of Carl Nicks - a guard in a tackle's body; and he's very smart, adept player; very good with angles; he trusts the coaches and their schemes and leads his blocks with where defenders will be rather than where they are at the start of plays, effectively sealing them off and create pass protection walls and running lanes... Just see alot of another Stanford alum, Jonathan Martin and that just makes me uneasy and not thinking he could be trusted... He should go on to being a doctor now if that's his passion... |
