Re: Best Guard in the Draft
Not a big fan of Garnett, in fact, am hoping we don't mistake drafting him...
The guy I'm really like for us, and for how we use our guards, is NC State Joe Thuney... Reminds me alot of Carl Nicks - a guard in a tackle's body; and he's very smart, adept player; very good with angles; he trusts the coaches and their schemes and leads his blocks with where defenders will be rather than where they are at the start of plays, effectively sealing them off and create pass protection walls and running lanes... Just see alot of another Stanford alum, Jonathan Martin and that just makes me uneasy and not thinking he could be trusted... He should go on to being a doctor now if that's his passion... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: Best Guard in the Draft
I would be happy with him in the 2nd. Defense in the 1st & 3rd. Still have to find a #4 & #5 WR from some where.

Re: Best Guard in the Draft
We still need a true No. 1 or "x" receiver to replace Colston because Coleman isn't it...
If you have PFF, you should read their scouting report on Thuney as well as ACC Scout as well... |

Meet Swedish-Born Lineman Sebastian Johansson Who Could Be The Steal of The 2016 Draft - American Football International
In the months leading up to his all-important Pro Day, Johansson trained at TEST Football Academy in Martinsville, New Jersey. There, he saw massive improvements in his lateral movement and explosiveness and learned to pay greater attention to diet and proper recovery. The hard work paid off, and Johansson turned heads at Marshall’s mid-March Pro Day. Measuring 6-foot-3 and 293 pounds, he recorded a 5.06 40-Yard Dash, a 32.5-inch Vertical Jump, a 9’5″ Broad Jump, a 7.27 3-Cone Drill, a 5.21 20-Yard Shuttle and 26 reps on the 225 Bench Test. According to 3SigmaAthlete.com, Johansson’s SPARQ score ranks fourth-highest among this year’s class of offensive lineman. |
W.T. Sherman is my favorite General. After all he did order Atlanta to be burned to the ground.

Re: Best Guard in the Draft
All I can hope for is that we don't wait until late in the draft to pick a guard.
