Great news! And I'm glad it gone done sooner rather then later. I'd hate for him to hit the FA market after the season. He's young and has a hell of a career ahead of him. Glad we locked him up.

So, sometimes "projects" do pay off..?

I mean he had a ton of upside and athleticism initially, but he was very raw when it came to technique.

I love this move. He is our best offensive lineman by far and overall one of the best players on the team. A five year contract probably means he will be here when we transition from Brees to the next QB and that kind of stability on such an important position is critical.
