The texans were a overrated playoff team last year. Watt was their team. They lost seven games, getting blown out by Miami, New England, Atlanta, and allowing tons of points to KC and Buffalo. What did those teams have that we did not have?

Most of those teams you mentioned play sound defense... Defense.

If Peat can't beat out Strief then he's definitely a waste of a pick. I've always said Strief is the most overrated Saint in recent history.

I've always thought Stief was underrated, but at this point in his career, and considering how bad his mobility has become, the Saints need to have a good replacement ready. I hope Peat is up to the task.

I am with you. I am a huge fan but father time has slowed him a bit. Been wanting to make him a backup/mentor/coach type of player so he can stay longer with the team for the past few years.

I know what team was ranked in the bottom. But even if we did have better defense last year in that game we're still kicking one or two extra field goals with the possibility of Forbaith missing one. So we get 9 points and hold them to 10 or 13 if we prevent one of the first two TDs we allowed. So we still lose. I just don't want to lose games like that anymore.
