LB Morlon Greenwood signs big contract with Texans
Greenwood signs five-year, $22.5 million deal
By Len Pasquarelli, ESPN.com In a move that signals at least a minor remaking of their linebacker corps, the Houston Texans on Thursday afternoon signed unrestricted free agent Morlon Greenwood of the Miami Dolphins to a five-year contract, ESPN.com has learned. The contract is worth $22.5 million and includes a $7 million signing bonus. Greenwood will earn salaries of $540,000 (for 2005), $2.56 million (2006), $3.4 million (2007), $4 million (2008) and $5 million (2009). Those salaries include $100,000 workout bonuses for some seasons link There's no way in hell he's worth that much money. These linebackers are very expensive. ;) [Edited on 3/3/2005 by GumboBC] |
