If he plays we easily win that game. The system Rob installed was perfect for him but we thought we could find a better fit in Byrd. We are now on the 2nd attempt to replace Malcolm Jenkins. Hopefully we don't make too many more mistakes like that going forward.
I'm still kind of undecided about Malcolm Jenkins

I still haven't forgiven him for blowing the lead in 2011 playoff game vs 49ers, 3 point lead with 40 seconds to go and he gets beat by Vernon davis for a 50 yard catch and run.

Malcolm Jenkins was terrible when he was with the Saints. His tackling was poor, and he took bad angles. He said himself that he was bad and that is why he worked to improve himself, because the Saints refused to re-sign him. If he had stayed do you think he would have gotten any better? I don't.

My thoughts exactly!

Jenkins was an average slow CB disguised as a FS who constantly took awful angles and had bricks for hands.

He was not the player then that he is now after doing some serious work on improving his craft and playing in the system the Eagles have.

RR on the otherhand, can talk all he wants... it doesn't change the fact that he failed.

In 2013 his last year, Malcolm gave up only 486 yards which was second best among Safeties. The kid worked perfectly with Kenny because they both were versatile. We lost that versatility with Byrd. But hey, to each his own.

The game shouldn't have been that close to begin with. Vernon Davis should have been doubled off the line. None of their wideouts would've hurt us. But, what's done is done.
