2015 veteran leadership
Brandon Browner spent a year with the Saints last season, didn’t play particularly well, and was cut this year. His total take from the Saints will be $7.75 million for that one bad season.
According to Nola.com, Browner responded to a critical comment from a Saints fan on Instagram by posting a response calling the Saints “weak.” Browner also wrote that he “took that few millions [and] ran with it.” Brandon Browner scoffs at “weak” Saints for paying him millions | ProFootballTalk |

Re: 2015 veteran leadership
Never liked the Bronwer signing - I'm on record that I want to sign then Bengals UFA LG Clint Boling (who absolutely mauled us in the dome)...
But what did it for me as a fan was all that BS about wah-wahing to return to the S'hawks after he'd just signed his contract to play for the Saints... Classless... |

Re: 2015 veteran leadership
Not to defend Browner, but it's probably a little tiring that he can't check his social media without seeing a hundred Saints trolls saying "F*** u Browner u piece of s***. Sorriest corner in the league."

Re: 2015 veteran leadership
Of course, but nobody's perfect. These so-called fans just can't let go and move on so they harass players non-stop for some reason. Browner had a moment of weakness and gave them what they wanted. I don't know why some of our fans have to act like morons but I guess every fan base has their share.

Re: 2015 veteran leadership
The Browner deal may be the latest indication that something is fundamentally wrong with the Saints' org. We can make Pro Bowlers out of late round picks and undrafted free agents. We typically even get a few years of good to great service out of UFA linemen. We pickup the occasional recovering running back and have him look like the second coming of Walter Payton, albeit for only a few games.
What we can't do today is get more than 50 cents of service for $5 million in salary for anyone who can play defense. Look at the Super Bowl Champs. UFAs Vilma, Greer and Sharper who were D studs . What gives? Lately, we take people who look to be UFA defensive stars, sign them to mega deals, only to have them turn into total turds. What gives? |

Re: 2015 veteran leadership
Keenan Lewis will be back and provide the leadership that we need on defense. Laurinitis won't hurt either.
