I like Stecker, but I\'m not convinced he can be a 30+ carry back. If we truly are going to move to a power running game, then the chances of Duece getting hurt go up some and Stecker will be asked to carry a lot.

Part of Stecker\'s success in that first game, I believe, was a surprise factor. It is hard to game plan against a guy who there isn\'t much tape on.

If A-Train is going to come here cheap, I believe he is good for two and a half yards a carry behind our OLine. Is that good enough?

2) I don\'t know how you can argue that being 20 points down doesn\'t alter your game plan and limit the run.
Um Who, Hate to disagree with you again but the D AVERAGED giving up 7.3 points in the first quarter, not 20. That only happened in one game, and the most egregious defecits were in the 3 AFC West games after the Raiders. As a matter of fact, in the Minny game it was only 7-0 after the first quarter. I posted what the defense did EVERY first quarter previously cause someone asked me to. If you like, I can dig it up. So that statement is flat untrue. As far as the A-Train, Dayne debate, you must not be talking to me. This is what I said in the same post to you\"

Back on the debate, \"Why the hell is this team looking at BACKUP RB in the 1st week of FA? They\'re on the wrong side of the ball!!! Anyone else have a problem with this?

No one should be confused about my statements concerning the \"offense hurt the defense\".

So much has been made on this board about how our offense made the defense look so much worse than what it actually was.
It amazes me that ... well, let\'s just say I\'m amazed!

So, from this can I assume that you are no longer amazed?

No, I\'m still amazed someone would start a thread and suggest one of the big problems with our defense was our offense. I saw the defense play.
