That doesn\'t sound like a Whodi thesis to me...

Basically I\'ve come to a conclusion about everything... it\'s the coaches fault. I think we can all agree we are never prepared in the first halves of games making our WHOLE team look bad.
I agree! However, I think that the coaches aren\'t just to blame for poor game planning. I think poor scheming (check 2TE basic set), poor player evaluation (asking guys to do things they couldn\'t), and poor discipline (at least until near the end of the season).

Maybe I\'m just too loyal. But I don\'t think that\'s a bad thing with so much negativity around.

Yeah, papz did get me wrong on that one. But I think he has a point about coaching. I also think he just switched the units he was quoting me from, as evidenced by his criticism of three and outs by the offense in the next line. But overall, point taken.

Looks like Fred Miller wants to be paid and it looks as though the Bears don\'t have much cap room. Sounds like good news to me.

Former Titans tackle to visit Halas Hall

David Haugh. Tribune news services

March 6, 2005

Continuing their effort to upgrade the offensive line , the Bears are expected to entertain free-agent right tackle Fred Miller early this week at Halas Hall.

According to league sources, Miller has narrowed his choices to the Bears and the New Orleans Saints Saints, whom he visited Friday. St. Louis also has shown interest.

Miller, who started every game for the Tennessee Titans the last six seasons, is expected to visit with coach Lovie Smith and general manager Jerry Angelo.

The Titans released Miller last month as part of a purge of high-priced
players.

Miller, 32, is believed to be seeking a multiyear deal with a sizable signing
bonus that would require financial creativity on the part of the Bears, who
have about $1.5 million left under the salary cap for free agents.
PS - Very good points made by all.

\"THE OFFENSE DID NOT MAKE THE DEFENSE BAD. A SUB_PAR OFFENSE MADE A BAD DEFENSE LOOK WORSE.\"

There is the exact quote GEEZ! It was just off the top of my head when I made that other point. But it\'s within the same parameters :P In my opinion, the defense made the offensive look worse than it really was. Wait nevermind, the same can be said about both sides and it wouldn\'t be wrong.

And about Miller... he\'s definately looking to break bank. This is probably his last contract and he is the 2nd rated RT out there. Look at the contract Jennings signed with San Fran, 6 for 36 million I think with a hefty signing bonus. I\'m pretty sure he\'s not asking for that much, but I\'m sure it will be out of our range.

Don\'t worry Gumbo, we don\'t need Miller anyways. I have a good feeling Mayberry will do well at RT and Jacox/Holland will bounce back. Once again will we have one of the top rushing games in the league... unlike our fluke 2004 season. They\'ve gotten the job done before, have a lil faith in my boys! Think positive!

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

All little common sense goes a long way.

Hey, it WAS 1:30 when I posted that!

But seriously, it\'s gettin\' pretty late on a Sunday for the big Miller signing to be announced. Haven\'t heard if he signed with anyone else, either, but it doesn\'t look like it\'s gonna get done today (if at all).
