Bentley, Duece and Joe will all get extensions on their deals. From what I understand Bentley is first on the list because negotiations should be easy. Although he was a headache to sign out of Ohio State. His agent, Ralph Cindrich is a bit of a pain to many NFL teams, but getting LeCharles signed long-term is very necassary.

Deuce is Deuce. Enough said. That needs to get done. He is represented by Ben Dogra of SFX. One of the bigger agent firms in the country. SFX is known for holding out rookies and veteran players throughout the league. Dogra is a very harsh negotiator. It could get interesting if the Saints offer a \"low-ball\" deal.

I think Charles Grant should be PAID! Along with Will Smith, I think the Saints have one of the better, young DE tandems in the NFL. Grant is represented by Pat Dye, Jr. who also represents Victor Riley and Montrae Holland. That should get done,

We hold two of the top 40 picks in next month\'s draft. We have to get two impact players with those picks. Devery Henderson will step in as the #3 WR behind Joe and Donte, but another WR still must be added. We need young OL help(OT in specific), as well as OLB and ILB. Cie Grant is never going to be an impact player. His knee is demolished. That was a waste of a 3rd round pick. We haven\'t done good in the middle rounds with this group in our front office. Kenny Smith, Sedrick Hodge, James Allen, Cie Grant to name a few. None of really worked out and Hodge and Smith will not be here next year.

This draft will be crucial as to what our long term potential as a contending team will be. This has to count. I\'\'d rather see the Saints get a second round pick for Darren Howard than a near 30 year old FS in Donovin Darius.

Also, Ron Dayne will be in New Orleans on Tuesday for his visit.

CanLoomis --

Your knowledge of agents, contract negociations, and the Saints is very impressive. And I ain\'t too easy to impress..

Good Job!

Now, what have we got to do in order to sign you to a long term contract here at B&G?

Well, I just want to make this a stronger board. I am a Saints diehard and I happen to know a lot of good people inside football circles.

Knowing a player\'s agent is key in negotiations so we know how hard it will be to sign a player initially and long-term. I like to stay informed on these things.

I look forward to being a contributor on the board. I\'m easy to sign long-term. I just want a contending team who makes good moves in free agency and the draft. That\'s not asking a lot. We need to be aggressive. I miss Randy ::sigh:: He was my boy. Great guy and a great evaluator of pro and college talent. He\'s surely missed.

Believe me, that ain\'t gonna be hard to do. :rollinglaugh: Nah, actually, we\'ve gotta lot of knowledgeable folks here. They just tend to vent a lot. I suppose that goes with the territory when you\'re a Saints\' fan.:whip:

There have been rumors of holdouts from Horn and Brooks. What do you think of the possibility of these? I also suspect that the rumor that Duece may hold out has gone away since people think we have no choice but to resign him.

I\'m currently of the view that Horn will retire a Saint. I don\'t know what I think about that, since I\'m pretty sure we could get some value for him in a trade right now. I feel that it is possible that he has 2-3 top performance years left. He will certainly be a tough choice for the FO.

We have to sign Bentley, Grand, and Smith. They are the future of the team. I\'m iffy on Holland. Duece will get resigned. If we can get a replacement for Brooks, I\'m all for not giving him the ridiculous amount he\'s going to want.

Interesting question papz.

Welcome aboard CanL.
