Just a calculated guess but sounds as if GG needs a LOT of work. |

Our starter and backup aren't young anymore. There are a lot of balls thrown in camp and we want to see Drew's arm strength stay strong late in the year especially since he's getting older.

Consider a 2016 incoming freshman who plays 2-3 years (depending on a redshirt) and is eligible to leave after 3 years. Now 21, he's drafted by the Saints. 40 year old Brees enters his last or next to last year and then in 2021 we start a 22 year old? Not likely. Would we be in a draft position to get a qg ready to start right away? also not likely |

Re: Is Grayson Ready to Step it up as a Backup?
I cant help but feel like we just wasted a draft pick on him. His contract will be up by the time Drew retires and he isn't going to sign again because he is going to want a chance to start or at least be second string. We could've drafted a DE or hell even a punter and would've got more out of it.
