Re: Khiry Robinson and Lance Moore - Cop Haters
All of these police shootings in the past few years have had one common denominator. In each one of these cases the individual was resisting arrest. No I am not saying if someone resists arrest they should be shot, but had they cooperated they would likely all be alive today. The police may be wrong in some cases no doubt, and maybe they are abusing their authority or pulled some of these guys over for the wrong reasons, but it is better to be alive than to try and prove a point by resisting arrest and dead. If you think an officer is over stepping his authority, fine, get a lawyer and fight it through the system. At least you will be alive. If an officer gives you a command, do it. Worry about telling your side of the story later.

Re: Khiry Robinson and Lance Moore - Cop Haters
True story. About 10 years ago a black friend and co worker of mine had to drive from Baton Rouge to Houston for a job. We decided to leave after dark to beat all the traffic as there used to be a ton of construction between Baton Rouge and Lafayette. We rolled into a small town right over the Texas line at around midnight to find a gas station and get a bite to eat. The sign on the interstate said the closest gas station was 10 miles away but we were hungery so decided to go there anyway. This was before GPS and Navigation was readily available as it was still the flip phone era. We drive about 12 miles and no gas station so we turned around. As we turned around we passed a police car who immedietly turned around behind us and put his lights on. He walks up to the car as another officer pulls up in his car. He looked in at us and asked us to get out so we did. He referred to my friend as "boy" and asked him if he had any drugs on him. We didnt and told him that. He asked where we were going and I told him Houston and he bashed out my headlight and said I was getting a ticket for it. He asked me again where it was I said I was going and I told him we had work in Houston. He walks to the back of the car and bashed out my tail light and said I got another ticket then asked be where I was going. I assured him I was going to Houston for work and only got off the interstate to find a gas station. He threw my license in the woods and told me he could take me in for driving without a license. He again asked me where I was going and I told him I was going back to Louisiana. I finally got the hint. He then cuffed us and asked us to stand back while he searched the car for 30 minutes throwing out CD's and other stuff. He uncuffs us and gets in his car and drives away. Was he in the wrong? Hell yes, was I pissed? Most assuradly, this was so far beyond the scope of his authority I thought it was a joke for a minute. Did I want to tell him to **** off? Damn straight but I wasnt that stupid. What would have happened if I told him he was being a dick? I didnt want to find out so I just cooporated and the nasty business was over. Choose your battles and battles like these cannot be won by immedietly acting out.

Let me make it simple for you: if you don't even believe it's possible that we're being fooled by the most sophisticated and highly funded propaganda campaigns ever.
If you don't even question your opinions when your head hits the pillow in the evening -- then we're in really, really, really big trouble. You can't boil a frog straight away, he'll jump out...but if you heat the water slowly 👍🏽 |

I never was too fond of Lance Moore even when he played here, because of his annoying antics. Now I'm delighted he's not here anymore. He and Khiry are just two more footnote's in a long line of delusional people.

I agree that people shouldn't expect them to be role models just because they are athletes, but I get tired of hearing them talking out of both sides of their mouths. They try to act smart, and when they inevitably get slammed for exposing themselves as fools, they turn around and say "I'm not here to be a role model, I'm just an athlete". Reap what you sew, fellas. |

Just as any one of us on this site would tell another poster when we think he's wrong, we can do the same with an athlete.
Do these players know every cop personally? Do they know any, personally? The answers to those questions are no, and probably not. And that's the problem with what they said. They have decided that because of a couple of stories they've read in the news, EVERY cop is just a piece of crap. You mentioned in another post on the first page that neither player said they hated cops. Well.... Khiry saying "they want us to feel sorry for cops now" doesn't sound like love. He couldn't possibly be more clear with that statement, that he holds no regard for any cop. Which sounds a lot like hate, to me. Those cops who were murdered had done nothing to that shooter. Now their families are left to mourn, but people like Khiry think it's justice or "karma". To sum it up, I completely disagree with you on this one. (edit- I meant to quote your first post, so my responses are not in order, but you get the idea) |

Re: Khiry Robinson and Lance Moore - Cop Haters
I took my post from somewhere else and put it here.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I saw an NOPD officer last week. It was a family gathering. He was telling people to keep him in their prayers. I said I do and I will. I also opened my no thinking -big mouth and said, I really wish the police in the big cities would start each day, one major city PD start getting sick due to that rare flu called Blue Flu. See how society, people will like that. I also continued, yeah, big mouth me and told him to be carful and leave the criminals alone. Thing is, hard working, decent police , people you know in your family and friends , are not going to stoop to that level of the Blue Flu. They also will do their jobs which is protecting society. It is just mad out there. |
