Saints Making Push to Sign Anquan Boldin

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, citing a source, reported that the "[New Orleans Saints] are making the strongest push to sign [Boldin]." Rapoport added that Boldin "loves" Saints wide receivers coach John Morton, who was previously with the San Francisco 49ers.

Saints running back Mark Ingram noted on Twitter had has been recruiting Bolden for some time.

Me too. He's a better version of Colston to me. If you throw it up he goes to get it, and he's strong af.

I'm usually not a fan of signing old WR's, but this might be the one guy in the game right now, at his age, who I'd take. If they were offering him ridiculous money to be a #1 or 2, I'd hate it, but as a 3 or 4 he can be very effective. He still gets open and has always had good hands.

I'm for it not only for the fact that he is a quality player and leader, but it might force the Brees extension to be finalized first.
