Travaris Cadet welcomes Saints running back competition

Travaris Cadet has been in this position before.

Primed for training camp, ready for a battle on a New Orleans Saints roster loaded with talented running backs. Every other back on the roster — Mark Ingram, Tim Hightower, C.J. Spiller, Marcus Murphy and Daniel Lasco — required a key investment from the Saints, whether it was a free-agent contract or a draft pick.

TC looked absolutely brilliant in short spurts at the end of last season.

I'm more excited to see him than Spiller.

I think Cadet has hit his wall. He looked impressive when he came back last year but I'm not banking on him following up on that performance. But I am banking on Lasco looking really good in training camp......really really good. I wonder if Payton will IR him to keep Cadet? God, I hope not.

Lasco has a decent skill set. A one year wonder in college and hampered by injuries, but intriguing nonetheless.

Cadet to me seems more refined since leaving N.O.

Camp will tell.

Marcus Murphy Vs Daniel Lasco is the first key battle to watch.

Cadet Vs the winner is next
