Training Camp Day 4

That's a good sign! Doesn't sound too serious.

Could it be??? Is Lewis back?!

Edit: Maybe not quite yet...

We should see a real healthy dose of Vonn Bell today with Byrd having the day off and Erik Harris nursing the hamstring.

Yeah, well, F-Byrd; Let the transition begin...

I'm tired of seeing him on the Saints' roster at this point...

Hoping S Trae Elston, Ole Miss, can Ball-Out, and keep Byrd on the bench...

A reminder to the "braintrust" to do better due diligence before giving out guaranteed money like that again...

Re: Training Camp Day 4

Look how freaking slow Byrd is coming over in top coverage on this great play by Del Breaux!

Re: Training Camp Day 4

Wow that did look bad. I can't tell what his coverage responsibility was but it looks like a single-high safety look and he's nowhere near the deep ball.

I wonder if that was COLEMAN with the case of the "dropsies" ? ...

Not that I'm happy about Armstead being injured, but this is a great opportunity for Peat to really hone his craft...

You beat me to it, Chris...

Really, really like Joe Cheek and hoping he's on this roster; he's really a OT, but played G at Texas A & M because of Matthews et al...

You see this, despite injury, Erik Harris is a warrior, trying to win a job...

At 6'3" 225 lb; I hope he does make the team! He could be a beast playing as a safety/LB hybrid in the box

Harris with only a slight hamstring yesterday, not too serious - Underhill

Probably not gonna happen this season. Trae was a good tackler at Ole Miss but is more of a splash player. Gave up quite a few big plays last year. Took way too many chances. An average to good QB would pick him apart at this level.

Possibly headed to the practice squad.

Re: Training Camp Day 4

Breaux and PJWilliams are flat dominant today.

On on drill Breaux wouldn't even let Nicks off the line.

Dennis Allen on Erik Harris and the rest of the defense; he doesn't lack confidence...

Dennis Allen on the Saints defense

Re: Training Camp Day 4

so Breaux and who are the starting corners; opinions?

Can Lewis get back or does someone like Williams take over?

Looks like Swann has actually been getting the majority of the reps opposite Breaux but Williams has gotten his fair share as well.

either lewis or williams...with lewis, breaux, willia,s, and swann...hell of a lot better than the preceding two years

Don't know that Lewis can regain his form after missing so much time; plus, he's not the most physical specimen, so can he hold up?!?

Just like an offensive line, a secondary has to be able to develop some consistency, chemistry and comradery to be a cohesive unit...

He's under contract and he'll be able to contribute, so it's not the vitriol you have with Byrd where Byrd should just be gone...

But, I thinks it's time for P.J. Williams, Damian Swann or maybe a rookie like De'Vante Harris to step up and TAKE the complement corner to Breaux...

Stupar has had reps in passing downs with the ones and has looked very good...

Ellerbe may be a surprise cut, or have his contract number redrawn at the least...
