He is a cerebral QB simply testing, seeing what works and what doesn't. Possibly measuring out the new WR's (Fleener, Thomas) to see what they are capable of when he lobs it up.

No decline ;).

Seriously, defenses are traditionally ahead of offenses this time of year; it's just that our defense hath sucketh like no defense hath sucketh before...

Now with just one defensive coordinator (one voice, one vision) and better, deeper front seven talent, we're looking like a defense that, at the least, must be respected...

I sure hope the reason the defense looks so good isn't because of that offensive line.

From reading these post from practice today it appears the 2016 defense will be much improved. Young guys stepping up, d line getting a push, having Brees rush his throws.

Dennis Allen appears to have simplified the defense. Fairley looks like he is gonna be a force (intensity is nasty) & these young corners look like they are hungry (PJ, Crawley, Breaux).

The confidence on defense is building ...

I like the interceptions and sacks too but I am becoming very concerned about our offensive line and Brees,

That would be our luck. We have crappy defenses but 10 straight years of top 5 offenses only for us to finally field a good defense while the offense plummets into mediocrity.
Make no mistake, even if our defense is much better our offense will still have to play lights out for us to become a real contender for the playoffs.

EXACTLY. I'm actually chewing my fingernails off, thinking about this offensive line. Better wake up and smell the Community Coffee.

Could the question possibly be, "We have a first offensive line?"

i said i read years ago the d should be ahead of the o right now anyway. i think the defense understands what they're suppose to do. less thinking more reacting. brees and the offense will be fine and if anything it helps them develop faster
