this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; According to NOLA, it's raining cats and dogs up there today. Hopefully it clears up by tomorrow (game time)....

Re: Joint Practice with Patriots
I don't get a good vibe from this...
He practiced once and has been out ever since. |

Re: Joint Practice with Patriots
I think we will be lucky if Lewis plays in 6 games this year.
It's unfortunate but I think his body is breaking down. Wouldn't surprise me if another corner is brought in to camp @ some point. |

Re: Joint Practice with Patriots
Just had a look at Lewis contract.
He has 3.6ml in dead money next year with a saving of over 5ml. If he cant stay fit i could see it being his ladt year simply as a cost cutting excersise It would be a shame as i like him |

FWIW ...
Ken Crawley intercepted Jimmy Garoppolo in walk thru's today (source - Mike Triplett). Keep a lazy eye on him and De'vante Harris tomorrow night. |

Re: Joint Practice with Patriots
Agreed. Although, I think we have a lot more talent this year behind the starters then previous years. I really like what is being written on our rookies and even PJ.

Re: Joint Practice with Patriots
With all the hype surrounding the defense and very very little surrounding the offense other than possibly trouble at the guard position I had been a little nervous. Last night I heard T bob and Christian both say the offense looks scary good and could be close to 2011 offense.
Think about it. We have 5 top 15 players at their positions on our offense. Drew at number 5 Strief at 16 Armstead at 4 Unger at 6 Fleener at around 6 I forgot. That is some serious talent. Combine that with this young and seemingly deep receiving corps and it is a pretty damn spicy gumbo. Not to mention Cam at around 4, Breaux, and a couple of other defensive players. I know it is the local medias job to hype this team up in the preseason to garner interest and sell tickets, but the Boston media pretty much parroted what our guys said. |
