I was annoyed when Sedrick Ellis did it, especially considering the way he turned out.

Maybe it's not money. Maybe he just doesn't want to play with San Diego. Eli did it. He got the trade he was looking for but made it perfectly clear he wasn't playing for San Diego. Elway did the same thing. Or maybe it was Marino. He may say it's money but who knows.

Rookie money isn't the issue.
It's the bonus, conditions and other add-ons that Bosa doesn't like.
I learned a lot in this thread.
#3 is #3 for a reason. Shouldn't be a bunch of if-ands-and-buts when drafted that high.
SD seems to be nickel and diming Bosa when their protection seems to be
built in with the rookie limits in the CBA.
No guarantee that Bosa makes it to his next bargaining opportunity.
And if he hobbles in or is in recovery, he'll only be worth pennies on the dollar.
