This kid is listed as a SS, FS and a LB..in several draft boards..and scouting reports

His credentials are just staggering..he is a big time player...

And he is so versatile...In my opinion..getting him at 16th pick would be the steal of the Draft...

Plus..he's from Georgia, and Haslett has an addiction of drafting Bulldogs...

Here's one of his scouting reports..

http://draftshowcase.com/ThomasDavis.htm

For those of you who may have not read up on this kid..you really should...he has some real potential to be great..not just good..great...

Overall..he is ranked 13th best player in the Draft on several boards...

Getting him instead of a LB might not be such a bad thing..infact..I would prefer it...

Remember how much flack I got for even suggesting a Safety in the first round earlier this year?...

I don\'t know how much flak you took, but I support Davis too. And so did Jarrod Breaux in the chat last week, for that matter.

I\'d be very happy to see him fall to us at 16.

And I support him not only because of his native talent, but also because of his ability to play OLB, which is definitely a consensus need on this board.

You\'ll get no flak from me.

Thanks for the info. I\'m now convinced he can be an asset. He sounds like a total beast!

I still favor trading down, taking a DT in the first, and TWO LBs in the second. This provides more options and greater insurance against injuries or picks that don\'t pan out.

BUT I wouldn\'t be upset with Davis.

I would not mind Davis if we stayed put at #16, but i would love to move up and grab DJ.
