I get that they apparently think he has some untapped potential, but he has almost literally done nothing. Again, with as many projects as are already under development, I think at least bringing Kruger in and giving him a shot couldn't hurt. We need more immediate experience/production now to bridge the gap until hopefully guys like Edebali, Gwacham, Onyemata and now McCain are fully ready.

If he were old, I wouldn't say that. I'm not interested in bringing in the Dwight Freeney's of the world. Kruger should have something left in the tank.
Oh he does 30-35 tackles and 3-4 sacks we can get that from our guys already is my point....whats the point in bringing in someone who is going to be less than or equal to your current players at that position?....he isn't giving us 8-10 sacks plus pressures guaranteed

He had a down year on a bad team. He had 11 sacks the year before, and I'm not believing he lost that physical ability in one year. And even his stats from last year are double what McCain has done in TWO years, in terms of sacks. Triple or quadruple in tackles (I can't remember off hand the number of tackles McCain has, but it's low). I'm not saying Kruger would come in and be an all-pro. I'm saying he's better than a bunch of guys who have barely played yet, and some who haven't even been playing the game, at any level, for very long. You got to have someone around to take the pressure off the unproven, and it's not like we're going to go get a superstar right before the season starts.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

I established the 1 year removed from 11 sacks & 5-7 sacks wouldve been a down year not 2.5 and 27 tackles & I was referencing Kassim not Mccain Kassim had 5 sacks last year and didnt start he(Paul) started all but one game it might be a good move if our interior line can compliment him well buI dont realyl see him being that significant to us JMO

What are you talking about? I don't know or care who you were referencing. I was making my own point about McCain and the lack of experience/production with a bunch of projects. They needed help, and now it looks like they got it.

It is your opinion that going from 11 sacks to 5-7 sacks is a down year. I'm giving my opinion. A down year is a down year. It's one year removed, either way, and I just don't believe that he suddenly lost it. He might not come here and get double digits, but if he can be somewhere around 8, that's a heck of a lot better then you're likely to get from anyone else not named Cam Jordan. Edebali and Gwacham have shown their flashes, but they are too raw to be relied on still.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

The Browns are ckeanung house they swapped punters with Carolina so they could get a 4th round pick added

Also i wouldn't trust their evaluations on players. Lance Moore and Willie Snead were cut by the Browns

And Im not insinuating that we would be able to get a superstar, Im simply saying I feel the move is waste because his production we already have 2.5 SACKS & 30 tackles come on! If hes coming off the bench cool but not as a starter

Rell,

I can understand you not liking the signing but did we just get worse by adding Kruger to the roster?

No we didnt get worse and the depth alone helps, but it just irritates me when they wait till the worse situation to invest in a Pass Rusher when that has been needed for a while its like I just don't get the logic sometimes, we haven't had depth at that position for a WHILE & this is how the SAINTS "address" it....They Banked on Kikaha & I'm a fan don't get me wrong but we should've came right back this year and drafted another Pass Rusher
