Re: Josh Sitton
I have the bears bottom of the north.
Packers Lions Vikings(though that was pre Teddy injury) Bears The bears are just plain bad. They cant run the ball. There best receiver is a walking IR candidate and there hype train o a WR ca barley run a route or catch the ball The Lions wont be worse without CJ. He was a aamazing receiver but there offense was predictable with him. Marvin Jones and Golden Tate wide,Boldin in the middle is a nice trio. They will move the ball |

And if there were ever a situation to motivate Loomis and Brees to re-work his contract, its getting a stud OG.
If he leaves Chicago and we're next on his list, he won't get out of NOLA. We have a 3 to 4 year Superbowl window with Brees. I'd back up the money truck to Sitton's front door. |

The Lions will be at the bottom of the NFC North; without Calvin Johnson, that Bulldog hayseed will be outta the league in two years... The Vikings have all the parts except quarterback, and that just got them a last week of the season playoff win and AP ain't what he use to be despite a very good defense... Ryan Pace and the Bears have something going, but it's at least another year away... The Packers will fall back to the rest of the division without having really improved their roster... |

We saw Jahri dropping off and hung on for a couple of seasons too long... I'd definitely get him in for a visit and be watching tape until he gets here, if that happens... But I wouldn't just back the Loomis truck up without closer inspection... |
Re: Josh Sitton
We knew Evans was dropping off when they were holding onto him. While it isn't entirely out of the question that something's going on with Sitton, there have been no obvious signs that he's dropped off. Even if he isn't an all pro caliber player, I have little doubt he's still a MAJOR upgrade from what we have.

Re: Josh Sitton
Each year the vikings, bears, and lions take turns in the top two. It's been that way since 2009.
Chicago has a easy schedule too, facing the eagles, cowboys, colts off of London and no bye, vikings, bucs, titans. Though I expect them to lose to Tennessee. Megatron owned Chicago. Without him, they can do a better job against Tate in that role. Chicago was in a shootout with Detroit last year in one of the games and that was due to Megatron. Chicago has lost many close games due to Megatron. I just don't see it with Stafford as a top QB suddenly. |

if we were really trying to win this year we should be on this guy right away. our line is going to get drew killed never mind the record we will have as a result.

It would seem that Josh is going to Sitt-on his options and make us sweat as long as he can.
...Sorry, it's been a rough weekend. |

However, I will say CHI has the inside track, no doubt he would love to see GB twice every year for payback. |
Re: Josh Sitton
Hmm, let's see.. sign with Chicago and play for an inferior team with a head case for a QB just so you can have a shot at revenge. Considering the fact that GB mostly owns Chicago I don't see how there can be much satisfaction in that.
Or... Sign with New Orleans and play for a team that may be only one or two key additions from being great, with a future HOF QB. Then you get your shot at knocking off GB in January, when it really matters. Seems like an easy decision to me. |

You're preaching to the choir man. This guy could change our entire season |
Re: Josh Sitton
A buddy of mine who is all about GB that they wanted him to take a friendly deal but he also said the guy has back issues. Don't shoot the messenger just passing this on.

Re: Josh Sitton
I did read somewhere they didnt keep him because of the new deal he wanted and it was better for the team him not being there,so maybe not a great locker room guy if not getting his own way
Cant remember where i read it though |

Does he still have that long hair like that guy that used to be a raider? What was his name? Mallory?

Re: Josh Sitton
I think he'll sign with the Bears, but I'm hoping we get him and save our season.
|
Re: Josh Sitton
Yeah i think they'll offer him a good deal they still have over 20ml in cap space this year
|
Re: Josh Sitton
Ingram helping do a little recruiting lol. |
Re: Josh Sitton
Wish he were visiting us first.
|
Re: Josh Sitton
I realize that Sitton can go where we wants, and will make his own decision, but we all know money talks. He can be persuaded, one would think, if the Saints have the means to make that happen.
I've heard an awful lot from some people that we don't have cap issues, and it's all imaginary. Well... Let's see a little evidence of that, for once. |
Re: Josh Sitton
Sitton is scheduled to visit with the Saints tomorrow if he does not sign with da Bears. Several Saints staff has reached out to him today per my source.
