Kind of why I don't know if I will do scouting this year because the FO picks based on BPA more than need. Say for instance Peppers is who we need and the BPA is McCaffery.

Or better yet, the best way to do this is analyze each top player for each position and so on and rank according to that.

our speed/talent would upgrade tremendously at LB. Talk about having two impact playmakers with the ability to quickly diagnose, drop in coverage & effectively pressure the QB.
For the first time since we had Fujita-Vilma-Shanle do we have some real talent accumulated at linebacker (Ellerbe-Robertson-Stupar-Anthony-Kikaha)...

It'll be a dynamic, versatile group that will allow us to put multiple fronts us and Foster would definitely be an upgrade to this group, as well as depth...

But I don't think we add another LB unless we move Kikaha or maybe Anthony to a team with a 3-4 front to find a better match for D.A.'s scheme...

The two linebackers in the draft I think could have an impact on this defense are ILB Reuben Foster and/or OLB T.J. Watt...

By adding Foster, we could have him at the MIKE, shifting Anthony to the outside and bringing Kikaha in situational pass rushes...

SLB (2) 50 - Stephone Anthony, 44 - Hau'oli Kikaha

MLB (2) 51 - Reuben Foster, 52 - Craig Robertson

WLB (2) 59 - Dannell Ellerbe, 54 - Nate Stupar

By adding Watt, Anthony would compete with Robertson for the MIKE and you could still have Kikaha on situational pass rushes...

SLB (2) 57 - T.J. Watt, 44 - Hau'oli Kikaha

MLB (2) 50 - Stephone Anthony, 52 - Craig Robertson

WLB (2) 59 - Dannell Ellerbe, 54 - Nate Stupar

Two other points I'd like to make - first, despite the effort to play Kikaha at WDE, he doesn't have the physical size to set the edge as a DE and will continue to be on IR if that happens; second, we just added a terrific LBers Coack in Mike Nolan who's coached some of the greatest LBers in the history of the game and I believe will get Anthony turned around as a MIKE LBer, if the team chooses to go in that direction after having invested a first round pick to do just that...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Is this the kid who many scouts think will be re aligned to play the SS position (due to his lack of burst/explosion at CB) at the NFL level?

Re: 2017 draft prospects thread

I'm doing this but with a short list of each position. As workouts and combines will bring in more names that they would prefer. When combines/workouts begin I will have to do a new ranking. I'm going 5 of each for defense positions and oline and 3 of each for the TE, RB, WR positions(even if not needed). Any names shown low in combine scores taken off the list.
