Re: Saints & Brees re-start contract negotiations
I rarely, very rarely ever make predictions. The Saints re-signing Brees was one and re-signing Payton was the other. I got Payton right and while the timing may not have been what I initially projected, the jury is still out on Brees and I still like my chances. You are welcome to search for any other bold predictions I have been wrong about.

Re: Saints & Brees re-start contract negotiations
If the cap is $60 million, $25 million per year is almost 42 percent of the total salary cap. You want Brees having 42 percent of our salary cap? When we pay Cooks that with Armstead will equate up to over 70 percent of our cap. Players requesting higher money more than ever. Damon Harrison got paid big and he was not exactly a leading team defender. Furthermore in two years Brees, Cooks, and Armstead will combine for nearly $45 million.

The cap is like 155 or 160 million, Guido, what's the cap right now? |

Re: Saints & Brees re-start contract negotiations
QBs like Brees are rare. Very rare. We sign him if we can. Period. Make it happen Loomie, then lets go and get us a guard (or two) and dare I say (dare! dare!) another pass rusher or CB?
