my take on the current state of the team
ok as alot of you know i have been one of the more outspoken members on this site as to how bad we are. l do not think we are good team this year. However i do think its not all doom and gloom.i see it like this if you picture the letter U .The past two years we have been one side going down and its been pretty bad these last couple of years lets be honest about that. This year I see us at the bottom of that U. The offensive line is bad. Wr spot is young yet still figuring out how to take the next step ti be great. The rb position god help them behind that oline AP would have a tough time (ive never liked mark ingram anyway but that oline DOES NOT give him or anyone a chance to do anything). The secondary is really young and inexperienced are we better there well we couldnt be any worse. the defensive line and linebackers looking improved however still not a lick of pressure on the qb on a consistant basis. The special teams is and has been awful for along time now. thats why i say we are at the rock bottom of that U it has looked pretty bad. That schedule they play this year i brutal some of the stongest teams and a couple Rookie qb and we all know how much historicaly we love giving rookie qbs a win.NOW here is where im going to get positive for you for a little bit. We are going to play alot of young kids on defense and one or two maybe 3 are going to be able to play and that's great. As it looks Drew is going to sign a extension here in the next couple of days so thats great as long as he maintains and dont get real old real quick. ( They better find the next Drew very soon or all this is postive stuff is for nothing). The dead money will be coming down so they can fix that oline with some free agents next year and possibly a stud pass rusher etc. Then comes a pretty good player with having a pretty high draft pick.So there comes the other side of the U in the upward trend now it may take just this year or the next 2 years but I do see it getting better soon. JUST NOT THIS YEAR
All of you guys that think otherwise who you got them beating Oak probably not Nyg doubt it Atl maybe SD give you that one Car unlikely KC unlikely Sea nope SF OK give it to ya Den nope rookie qb curse Car unlikely L.A. maybe but possible rookie curse again Det. Tough one to call but I say no Tb I think a split with TB Ari nope TB like I said split so give you Atl maybe again but lean toward a split So thats why i said 5-11 or 6-10 Tell me where your wins gonna come from with what you've seen I love the saints always have and always will. I'll root hard for the win every week always hoping they win.I just don't allow my heart to get in the way of my eyes. I want them to win every game they play everyone.I know that is impossible but in my perfect world its what I would like. If some of you would just let yourself see this team without that fluer de lei and that black and gold you would see they are not good football team this year. Let the sarcasm that everyone loves to throw fly I guess but that's how I see it |

Re: my take on the current state of the team
You left out the parody factor. I would not at all be surprised if we have success running the ball and generate pressure but struggle with passing and ST play.
