Well, he did have the best ever workout by a kicker according to the voices in SP's head.
Maybe paying Lutz that amount will end the Kicker Carousel.

That's perfectly fine. I'm not offended by your lack of concern over monetary issues.

But some people are more emotionally invested in the team, and the bottom line is that money matters. There are a lot of things that go on that aren't in our control, but we still talk about it. If you want the team to do well then you might also want them to make smart decisions, since that is kind of essential to being successful. There's just no reason to condescend to someone over something like that.

It's his way. Im starting to think he is my ex-wife.....:D

But I do, all the same, have opinions on certain decisions. The point I'm trying to get across in the spirit of not concerning ourselves with things we have no control over, is that we as fans have no control over ANYTHING, anyway. We might as well not watch football, because why concern ourselves with winning or losing. We don't play for them, and we don't have any legal stake in the organization. But clearly, we still care.

So while I don't promote panic or overly negative content, I don't think it's bad to question the team. It's easy to say it doesn't matter, but you have to stop and remember what you are as a fan and know that if we're really honest about it, we're all just a little nutty. That's not a bad thing.

Now SOME people have a tendency to say some really outrageous things. I won't name them, but we all know who they are. Those are the types I try to ignore as much as possible until I feel like my head is going to explode if I don't say something.

I'm with you on most all of that. Although, while winning and losing is important to me, obviously, it is the watching, or listening to, that means most everything.

Cap space is not needed this year. $24 mil next year, while it's market rate, does not do the Saints some BIG favor.

I've read that we have cleared up 17 mil in cap space

Bearing in mind we signed Byrd for 56 mil when we only had roughly 5 mil left in cap space seasons ago.
