If that came to fruition, how would you grade the move? Vic: That would make no sense at all. Have you considered how much money you would have tied up on the defensive line? Have you considered that two of those players, Marcus Stroud and Darren Howard, would be on one-year contracts? It's not just about getting the best personnel. It's about making it work on your salary cap. Haven't we learned that, yet, from New England? Acquiring Howard would represent a salary cap and contract disaster. |

Yeah but that\'s just for Jacksonville, who already signed Hayward(top FA DE) and have Stround and Henderson. It makes NO SENSE for THEM to do it, but there may be other teams who can use Howard, like Cleveland, or San Fran.

No way Howard stays. If a team meets our demand, he is gone. I would be happy if he stayed but I ain\'t happy with his salary, and I ain\'t happy that Charles Grant will be commanding the same if not more in a year or two either. I am happy Howard has shown enough that he might be able to get us a decent LB in return though.
