this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Great teams find ways to win. The Raiders are not a great team, we just found a way to lose like we have for 3 straight seasons. Laurinitus should not be starting, Stephone Anthony is much, much better than him....

Back in the day we used to find ways to win, even when it was improbable. I agree.

I'm not sure if I can continue to be so heavily invested in the games every week. It just hasn't been worth putting other things in life on hold to make sure I don't miss the game.

Especially when they mess up like today, it puts me in a grumpy mood and literally kills any motivation I have.

I will and always will. It's my passion. I love his team and win or lose, that changes nothing except i have a ****ty week when they lose.

Football isn't worth putting anything in life on hold. You may need a break. Be sure to take time off, even if it's just tuning it out during the offseason. Years ago, I had to stop investing myself emotionally into my teams and found other things to do. Suddenly my personal and professional life improved. I look at football as a journey rather than a sprint. Try to enjoy the game but don't put it in front of life - this is how you will get perspective. Football will always be there when you return - your "life" on the other hand may not be so go live it, even if you have to do it without football. |

I disagree. The Raiders are an extremely good team that most pundits and publications picked to win the AFC West this season with a deep playoff run. They have talent at several positions on offense and most positions on defense. We stood up well but didn't get the job done. They were a great team today to find a way to win and go for two and win the game.
