Sean Payton's press conference

Oh how I've missed those tired old lines he's used nearly every week since 2014.

Credit Oakland
Our guys fought hard
Disappointing loss

Where the hell is the fire? Where the hell is the tenacity to make us believe you will get this defense fixed after two unbearable seasons?

The 75 yard TD run should never have happened, but did SP get in anyones face for blowing a 14 point lead in the final quarter? Ofcourse he didn't, he's not the same anymore.

Now we've lost Delvin Breaux for atleast 6 weeks it looks like a 3rd unbearable season is on the cards.

This part is true he needs some new adjectives and verbs.
But really what is he supposed to say, I'm thinking move
on to the Giants as quick as possible.

I'd just prefer something that will make us believe it will get changed, e.g our linebackers need to hold the point of attack better and that will be sorted - he could say something like that, I knew we were going to blow that lead when Fleener dropped that pass and Lutz missed the kick.

We wasted time outs in the 2nd half. That cost us big time. That's on you coach!

Re: Sean Payton's press conference

We blow through timeouts in the second half like Payton blows through juicy fruit. Ridiculous clock management.

Idk I thought he sounded more optimistic than he has in a long time.
In the past it was as if he didn't even care.

Re: Sean Payton's press conference

Anyone who thinks they saw the same team yesterday that they've been seeing the last two years either didn't watch the game, didn't understand what they were seeing, or drank too much to retain any of it. This team has a lot of potential, and when they put it together, don't come crawling back to the bandwagon.

Go watch it again. There WAS pressure, but Carr got rid of it in less than 2 seconds most of the game. We played well up until the 4th quarter (and if you think that losing 1 corner caused us to give up 22 by himself, you're delusional). That will be fixed. We had SO many players where it was their absolute first NFL game.

In a game like that, against someone like the Raiders, just a few little things can result in a loss. They're not basement sweepers any more, they're a good football team. Give them credit, they're playing with the type of confidence we did in 2009. But I assure you, Sean is different, this team is different, and in a vastly better way.

Re: Sean Payton's press conference

Do you know, historically, what happens when you have a 14 point lead and keep throwing the ball instead of taking more time off the clock and wearing out your opponents defense by running the ball? Exactly what happened against us this past Sunday and EVERYTIME SP does it. It's a broken record here under SP.
