Re: Fire Mickey Loomis? Don't waste your breath with the question
I think Sean is great at judging talent. As long as that talent is offensive and fits his playbook.
Defense not so much. |

For as much as you moan about being criticising the team you come out with the same answers "The team wont listen". We know they wont, its does not mean its not something the fans will not or should not discuss. Also yes the front office will listen when the fans start turning. Fans have a far bigger impact than some people want to admit. Im love growing up was Liverpool football club and when we were bought by Tom Hicks(Texas Rangers) and George Gillet(Montreal Canadians) they leveraged the cost of the buy out against the team and were making the team play for itself. The club started to move backwards but when it was time for them to renew the loan with the banks the fans stood forward and emailed every single bank the tried to do business with to the point that all the banks servers collsapsed over the hundred of thousands of emails they received, every bank walked away forcing the Royal Bank of Scotland who owned the debt to sell the clubs from under them to the owners of the Boston Red Soxs. Now im obviously ot saying that is relevant here but there is a case for Loomis role to be discussed. Im not saying he should be give the boot at the moment but i do think that he has too much on his plate trying to run both the Saints and the Pelicans. Both jobs are year round and there is not enough time in the day to be trying to do both jobs. As i said on another thread, this isnt a case of fans crying and whinging on the back of a bad season, that will happen. This is a case of a team going into regression since 2012,they have lost more games than they have won since 2012. There is only so long you can live of a superbowl and great spell from the mid 2000 to 2011. Maybe i see things differently as i didnt grow up a Saints fans and my first love was Soccer and one of the most succesful teams in the game both ationally and in European competition. There is one thing winning teams do constantly and is not sit on there past successes, its is what makes them successful. Our greatest manager once said "First is first, second is nowhere" and its true. Nobody remembers runners up,nobody remembers the plucky underdogs that had a great couple of years and are happy to just make it to the playoffs. There is a reason certain teams are always there or there abouts come crunch time, its gets embedded in their DNA as a player that winning the division isnt good eough, winning the AFC/NFC championships isnt good enough. Being 33-34 since September 2012 isnt good enough |

Whilst we have been 33-34 since 2012 with 1 playoff appearance, the patriots have; 48-16 record, 4 playoff appearances and 1 superbowl win. Lets be real, Payton spends that long trying to copy another teams blueprint he's completely forgotten how the team became successful from 2009-2011. |
Re: Fire Mickey Loomis? Don't waste your breath with the question
It's not just FA, this team sucks on draft day. Coaches, look for Spags to have a pretty good year.
This team lacks talent in the front office, coaching staff and defense. It's a good thing they don't pick the Saintsations. |

The Saints are fortunate to have a fan base that supports them, no matter how much you like to complain about said fans. If attendance plummeted like it would in a lot of other places when the team is losing, I guarantee you the team would listen to the fans. |

You see, I'm not complaining about the 99.9% of Saints fans. I'm only complaining about those who ***** and moan about the same things over and over and over again, in every thread, on every day. What is your reason for *****ing about the same things nonstop if you don't care that nobody is listening?
