We are not going to stop it unless we start going and grabbing wins to the point Carolina pales. But our way of playing and the playcalling styles and the players being relied on that does not make sense, it's not holding a candle to the panther buzzsaw. With that said I'm not blaming Coleman, you took a number one receiver from his college team and turned him into three target per game guy and using him at all the wrong times. What do you think is going to happen? Snead and Thomas were not number ones in college. Stills wasn't, and they play well with the roles they are given. You don't rely on a number four receiver to win the game for you. Do you want another example of a letdown? Devante Parker. This is a playmakers league now and playmakers simply win. Until the panther phenomenon fades down, saints old style will have to sit and wait. However, it would wait anyway because injuries happen to help others. |

Our defense is really so much better. We only allowed 70 yard rushing and last week would've held the Raiders to 92 without the 75 yard run. Its our pass defense and I place that solely on injuries. We need some experience in the secondary now

Re: There's still hope but the reality is
I hate to do this but regarding last week. Carolina allowed SF to score 27 points within the same frame we allowed Oakland but what happened. Carolina kept going. They didn't stop at 34 points. They scored 12 more points. Basically 39 offensive points. We tend to believe we don't have to keep going and hope the defense wins for us. Defense isn't supposed to win for you late in the fourth, running out the clock is supposed to win for you.

So.....
This is obviously the glass half-full thread. Gotcha. Not arguing. I would just like to point out that a turnaround has to start somewhere and at some time. It appears to me that we are heading in the right direction. The past is the past and 31 other franchises would love to have the consistency of New England. I understand some of the frustration, but flogging yourself seems to odd to me. If SP and ML suck and are unable to change? Why make yourself miserable? Come back when they are gone. |

Re: There's still hope but the reality is
I have decided the team should just stop and listen to me.
You want my CV Well here are my skills as GM of the Browns Took over a year ago, worst team in the team. Traded my way through the season and dealt players away for younger talent. On the eve of season two and the Browns roster looks as follows QB Grayson(Rookie) RB E .Elliot/C.Michael WR 1 J.Jones/P.Dorsett WR 2 C.Coleman/B.Miller WR 3 K.White TE H.Henry LT L.Joeckel LG L.Tunsil OC W.Richburg RG J.Bitonio RT S.Volmer LE S.Richardson DT L.Williams/D.Shelton DT G.Atkins/D.Easley RE D.Buckner LOLB M.Kendrycks MLB R.Shazier ROLB M.Jack SS D.Buchanan FS T.Mathieu CB K.Johnson CB J.Hadden Now that is a championship roster if ever i have seen one. Next step Loomis out,Lee in Easy this GM lark I may not be serious,or am I? |
"Two receivers to the left, Garcon to the right. Manning in the shotgun, puts Collie in motion. Looks in his direction...it's picked off! It's picked off! It's Tracy Porter again! He's runnin' free! He's gonna go all the way!

We held the giants to 16 points is Brees supposed to win games scoring just one TD?
