We just gave 10 years of history back to the other team. That is a major signifier that a era is gone and you can never re-open a old era. The pats never missed playoffs with Brady so their era is still going. GB hasn;t missed yet with Rodgers since 08. Never missed with Manning's teams. That era is over. You can't suddenly expect to go back to winning like your old ways when you gave away what started why we became this era to begin with.

Did you see Les Miles in the parking lot waiting to give Sean Payton a ride.

Re: Seasons over

Season is not technically over since the Falcons are just currently the kings of **** mountain, but Sean Payton's staff on Defense or ST has to go. Bill Johnson, Joe Vitt, and Ed McMahon. Mickey Loomis should be fired tonight if you ask me.

If we , by some miricle made into the playoffs how do you beat a good team like Philly or Vikings? Then if we have NE in a SB how do we beat them ?
Simple we cant with this team its over. We would be 1 and done in the playoffs which this team will never get to unless everyone else loses and we are gifted the spot. We will never earn it. Team has no heart the season for a SB is over.

We're going to go one and done anyway first time we go back because this team needs to gain experience all over. Brees is not enough for that.

Re: Seasons over

I'm sorry, but injuries only give you a certain amount of space for excuses. Giving up 45 points at home is bad. The defense was bad. The fumbled punt with our guy getting pummeled by his own teammate was bad. The Pick six was bad. You can't take all that and just shrug your shoulders and go "eh, injuries man... Just too many injuries". That's a losing mentality.

I said during pre-season that my expectations weren't very high for this year. I was thinking next year they might be more ready. And adding the injuries, I expect even less. But they have found numerous different ways to lose. It's clearly not as simple as health. There is a culture of losing when you see the kind of dumb things that keep happening. And that doesn't necessarily mean they have quit. It just means they aren't very disciplined, and they don't have enough players who have an ability to make timely plays. They consistently make untimely mistakes.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Re: Seasons over

Sean/Carmichael are just as responsible as any of the other coaches. I don't care what the scoreboard says, the offense is a huge problem.

To be honest, Drew's ability to throw these crazy accurate passes and throw people open who aren't open is making our offense look a whole lot better than it really is. If we had better playcalling, with the way Drew is executing now, we would look like the 1999 Rams and our defense wouldn't even hardly matter.

They are going to ruin Michael Thomas' development and career if they insist on sending him on a slant every single play. Atlanta finally caught on to the predictability and it cost us the game. Oh, and our first play after the pick 6? Another slant to Michael Thomas! Are you kidding me???

About one in every ten plays you will see something innovative that actually works, like the last Ingram TD. But the rest of the time it is the same predictable crap, like knowing that every time when Cadet goes into the game that the ball will be going to him.

Atlanta's defense is horrible, and a real NFL defense would have made us pay a lot more tonight.

Re: Seasons over

All this BS about injuries... quit making excuses. MIN and NE are 3-0 and both are playing with not only injuries, but injuries to their BEST players. To equate that to our team, it would be like Drew getting injured yet still being 3-0.

Good teams win, regardless of injuries.

Fact is Payton is an average coach, with decent offensive mind. He got fortunate to have Greg Williams from 2009 to 2011. Greg Williams helped build the "Payton" legacy.

Re: Seasons over

Falcons IR
WR Devin Fuller
CB Akeem King
CB DeMarcus Van Dyke

Falcons Out Week 3
LB Paul Worrilow
OLB De'Vondre Cambell

Other than Worrilow, ever heard of these guys?

Saints IR
LB 44 - Hau'oli Kikaha
FS 33 - Jamarca Sanford
CB 24 - Kyle Wilson
WR 12 - Kyle Prater
DE 77 - D.J. Pettway
CB 43 - Jimmy Pruitt
DB 27 - Damian Swann
TE 84 - Michael Hoomanawanui
OT 74 - Tyrus Thompson
DT 98 - Sheldon Rankins
CB 25 - P.J. Williams

Saints out Week 3
CB Delvin Breaux
LB Dannell Ellerbe
WR Willie Snead
TE Josh Hill
T Terron Armstead
DT Tyeler Davison
S Kenny Vaccaro

Don't think for a minute that injuries don't matter in this league. Or just saying "next man up" actually means anything. Jarius Byrd was the only active member of the secondary that was even on the team last year.

The Saints did fine on offense. Over 100 yards rushing at 5.0 ypc, Over 350 yards in the air. 7-11 on 3rd down. Won the clock. And they went 4 of 5 in the Redzone. If they had even half those defensive guys listed above, they run the Falcons outta the building.

The Saints lost by 13 points. A pick six and an 11 yard drive following the stupidest muffed punt I've ever seen, were the difference in the game.

Yeah, our 2nd string defense (and that's being generous) couldn't stop the number one offense in the league but their 1st string defense couldn't stop ours either.
