Stupar wasn't with us last year.
I know a lot of people were high on Anthony last year, but I was maybe his biggest detractor on here. He had the tackles on the stat sheet, but it seemed like on a lot of big plays he was consistently one who was getting beat. He has speed, so at times he would flash a nice play that looked explosive. I just didn't see near enough to predict a star out of him.
That said, I hadn't given up on him after one year. I just wasn't on board with the hype. And now that he's become invisible, I'm wondering if he didn't blow more assignments than I, or anyone else, knew about. It's easy to see when a guy makes an obvious mistake, but he must be pretty bad at diagnosing plays and communicating. I can only assume that, because otherwise you would think they would have him out there taking his lumps and learning. |
