Delvin Breaux ahead of schedule (week 6 return?)
this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Still, he won't be the same player until at least next year. Should we bring him back too early and risk re-injury or the possibility of ruining the rest of his career?...

It's not a soft tissue injury, it's a broken bone. If the bone is healed, then it's healed. In fact, when a broken bone heals it is actually thicker than before.

He posted a video of himself running on a treadmill so it's definitely looking like he'll be good to go in a week or two.

And the Saints medical team has the Saints management compensating them, not Delvin Breaux... If I were Del Breaux, I'd still get an independent medical opinion before coming back... He can be primed for a major payday and that could evaporate quickly should he come back too soon and aggravate the injury... |
