He played 11 games last season and recorded 1300 all purpose yards, 860 of them rushing yards. He's a multiple threat player, which I never thought he would be capable of, his hands are pretty darn good.

Re: Well I've gone and done it!

Ingram was a bust as a draft pick as a two pick player (Pat's 2011 1st round pick for our 2011 2nd Round pick & 2012 1st Round pick)...

We overspent with a first round pick alone, the add'l pick makes it worse; he was a third round pick at best...

Ingram definitely rode the short bus to school when you factor how long it has taken him to get his game to this point...

He's a good, not great, running back (now) who tends to fall down, even if it is forward, on contact; never tearing off long gash runs...

But he fits what we do now, he's become a legit receiver, and he's got the right cap number; it's just taken him five years to get it...

The biggest problem with Ingram is that we have never given him the amount of carries he needs to be effective. He don't have the home run speed or the knock you down power but a nice blend of everything. He needs 20+ carries a game to wear a defence down.

Like back in 2014

Vs Packers, 26 carries for 176 yards
Vs panthers, 30 carries for 103 yards

The packers had no answer for Ingram that game.

Re: Well I've gone and done it!

Ingram is a decent all around RB, I would still like to see an upgrade at the position. If by some slim chance the Saints are able to get Fournette, that would be the type of upgrade that could dramatically change the Saints to real contenders. The Saints will always be a pass first type of team, with that said need a big time RB to compliment what they do well. A guy like Fournette wouldn't necessarily need a front line that is better suited for the run versus pass. Think of it as having Deuce back in his prime again with a little extra speed. A combination of Fournette and Ingram could also pay off with better ball control and the ability to close games out by seriously wearing out opposing defenses.

A young talent like Fournette would be wasted here in Sean Payton's system.

As much as I would love to see Fournette in black and gold I am afraid that would be the case.

What took you so long? I told them to ban me over 12 years ago.
They had no problem getting more fools. I agree with Skymike.
