now that we\'ve got dwight smith, i don\'t think we need a FS anymore... if they draft thomas davis, maybe play him at outside lb or as ss... i\'m at a loss, because that is who i really was pushing for, but with the latest signing of smith, we don\'t need that position in the draft now.... that\'s a good problem to have i guess.... i think now we package our 1st and darren howard and maybe even fred thomas or tebucky (if he\'s not cut before then) to trade up and get derrick johnson, because he is the only guy that will now come in right away and instantly make our defense a whole lot better.

I don\'t think I would trade up. Getting in the top 5 top 8... just going to get us in trouble either cap wise in the long run or missing out on other talent that we are going to need down the road. With that said... I think this is the perfect draft for us trading down. Get extra picks in this draft or next years. OL Adam Terry is going to be HUGE hell he is huge. Beef up our line even more, going to be there in the second or third round so will WR Mathis out of Hampton. Get another RB and still get a LB. Oh yeah hell snag a K in the mix.

chRxis, Thomas Davis is a strong safety, not a FS. Signing smith will not effect whether we draft him or not.

i would be very happy with jot\'s ammal brown or maybe even khalif barnes at #1. travis johnson dt not thrilling but could be okay. otherwise a trade down is looking better. it seems there will be no LB\'s added in fa so so help is defintiely needed. plenty of them from the bottom of the first thru the second round. get a second for howard and another second and other picks for #16, that would be kewl. three 2nd rounders in this draft could go along way.
