It may seem like it happens more to Brees but Brees throws way more than most other QBs in the league. It's math.

I was pointing specifically to pick6s.
Also, Drew's ints on the road.
I don't know if pick6s are a stat that is tracked.
I do know what my eyes have shown me.
Drew has thrown an inordinate number of pick6s compared to other "elite" QBs over the years.
Drew has a history of pressing when the team falls behind and sometimes makes the situation worse.
He is also not nearly as efficient on the road.
These reasons are why he has never won an MVP Award.
I love Drew and I am so happy he has been our QB.
But!
I 100% believe that I am correct in what I am saying about him.

Don't know if they track knock-downs at the line of scrimmage either, but that has to be high also.
For me, it goes back to the O-line, again.
Drew is a pocket passer and lately has been getting pressure up front.
Very few of his picks are down field throws.
Our defense's tackling technique is terrible.
When our offense has to turn defender after a pick, it's really awful.

Drew has thrown a lot of pick 6's but that's because he throws the ball a lot.

There's a chart on this page that shows QBs pick 6's over their career as of 2013.

Most Pick Sixes Thrown in NFL History

Drew's % of pick 6's per pass thrown, is about average at .28%.

Both Archie Manning, .29% and Bobby Hebert, .35% have higher pick 6's per pass thrown than Drew.

This data is 2 1/2 years old so the numbers will be a little off but the percentages are probably still pretty close.

He is an incredible QB and I'm glad we've still got him but you are correct, he is a different player on the road.

He tends to press more and throw risky passes, another thing I've noticed he does on the road is lose sight of the play clock. I'm not talking one or two times, you see him panic when he realises its at 2 seconds and he's still changing the play.

The pick sixes could be a number of reasons, could be that all of our backs and receivers are down field so no one is back to make the tackle. Just like that Deion Jones pick 6 Brees threw.

Interesting to see that Brees and Peyton Manning has the same average.

penalty was stupid. But include interception and fumble. Fairley's uneccesary roughness wouldn't have mattered without the other two. the turnovers were the most costly. Fairley one of the best things we have going on the team.

The pick 6 wasn't a bad pass, it was a great defensive play combined with an unfortunate bounce off of Sneads facemask so you can't fault Brees or buy into this on the road struggles.

there was so many miscues that just balled up and bit us u could feel it happening like many other games, but there i hd a feeling that we were changing the momentum during all the bad penalties and fumbles and pics, the game was still there for our takings, it showed me that we can play with anybody in this league, we have to be smarter, and make a play when its given to u. example-- it was webb that had a easy pic on a ball that was over thrown by smith webb i believe was playing deep and he just stood there catching the ball on one hop instead of playing the ball when he dam well knew where it was going to , one step up and we change the game possibly.

You know what cost us the game?

An unsavory mix of Turnovers, Penalties and MisTackles...

That's what cost us the game...

As poorly as this team has played for an entire 60 minutes, we have had chances to win in just about all of our games thus far. We let Oakland and NY get away. Very winnable games.

With more discipline, we could be sitting at 4-2 right now.

I see Seattle coming in the dome and leaving with an L.
