Did Fairly cost us the game?

Did not watch the game... But I understand there was controversy with him toward the end of the game?

So Nick just lost his Mom probably grieving like crazy and made a dumb mistake, we had a host of others.
Now tell me which Coach is gonna yell at him in the locker room.

Re: Did Fairly cost us the game?

His stupid personal foul cost the Saints an opportunity to try to work down a long field in a short time with no time outs to try to comeback from several other stupid mistakes.

Pick six that bounced off the receivers hands, fumble in the red zone after a long drive, 10 penalties for 75 yards... kinda tough to put it all on Fairly's bonehead play.

His loss of compose at that late point in the game puts it into a bubble.
It did hurt in that bubble.
Many mistakes were made with much more time on the game clock.
His is one of many mistakes that contributed to the loss.
A dumb play always looks much worse in the latter portion of any game.
Also, I will go on the record as not blaming Ingram's fumble on him.
That was a one in a million shot that the KC dude had at a play and he made it.
There are many turning points in every game.
His was one that is put under a microscope because of the timing of it.
I won a bet with my 20 yo son that Drew would have a pick6 on Sunday.
You can argue whether it was all on Drew, but it does seem to happen to him more than other QBs.
Cest la vie.
We lost the game.
SUNSHINE!!!
Edit: Also, who knows if Ware said something about his mother that set Fairley off.

This ^^^^. That's almost the equivalent of giving the opponent 7 points.

Pick 6, fumble by Mark, numerous false starts and a bad personal foul by Fairley. It happened at a critical time but certainly wasn't the reason why we lost yesterday.

That KC Crowd did their job well, a lot of those penalties they can take credit for.

And no continuity on the O Line.
We are snake-bitten there nearly as bad as in the secondary.

Joe Cheek?
Come on down!!!!!!

Where do you see that Brees has more interceptions than most other Qbs? He doesn't, and when you have a pass first team that has to play from behind all the time and racks up 400 plus yards games regularly interceptions are going to happen. It may seem like it happens more to Brees but Brees throws way more than most other QBs in the league. It's math.

Re: Did Fairly cost us the game?

Fairley's frustration foul was just pennies on the dollar.
Many things prior to that caused late game infractions to seem more costly.
Ingram's fumble if in the 1st quarter becomes recoverable.
The game wasn't over after the pick 6. It was early enough to overcome.
At some point, guys have to start making plays and cover for one another.
We need to get a pick or cause a fumble or get off the field on 3rd and 17.
We lack play makers and are making too many mental errors.
Clean up some things.
Getting beat is one thing; losing is another.
