From the time when Brees begins his release until the ball reaches Snead three seconds elapse. As the ball nears Snead, Berry is still behind Snead and moving pretty much at full speed and dives toward the ball and gets the tip. In that three second window Berry was most likely four to five yards behind Snead at the beginning of the Brees release. You can try to put that on Brees if you wish, but it was a tremendous play by Berry as the announcers point out. |
