Let's not start blaming the refs

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Seriously people, we aren't seahawks fans, I got tired enough of that when we played them and they moaned for 3 hours straight. It's not the refs fault we committed 4 turnovers It's the teams fault, up 17-10 a TD ...

Let's not start blaming the refs

Seriously people, we aren't seahawks fans, I got tired enough of that when we played them and they moaned for 3 hours straight.

It's not the refs fault we committed 4 turnovers

It's the teams fault, up 17-10 a TD would have put Denver away I believe. One fumble, D holds for a FG.

Later another fumble, D holds to a FG again.

Not to mention tipped balls going straight to denvers D.

You can't expect to commit 4 turnovers and still win, yet we still lead until the blocked XP.

If he was in or out doesn't matter anymore, if we had shut them out when we had the momentum it wouldn't be an issue.

Let's not become like Seattle fans, we had this game firmly in our grasp and as the Post-superbowl Sean Payton Saints often do, they threw it away.

The D had a nice game, 7 sacks and 2 Int's I believe.

Breaux does not look healthy, he could barely run with D. Thomas.

Still doesn't matter, we were in that spot in the first place due to 4 turnovers.

If we had scored earlier and not given the ball away it wouldnt have been an issue.

Re: Let's not start blaming the refs

A ref was following behind on the blocked PAT, when it was obvious he was going to be skirting the sidelines, he should have looked for the runner to potentially step out!

You can easily see half of his foot is not in the green field of play!

Re: Let's not start blaming the refs

Sure, everything that happened prior to that point is what led to that moment...

However, there were actually 2 missed calls in that play:
1. The runner stepping out of bounds.
2. Drescher was held down by 2 Bronco Dlinemen to allow their DB to jump over him.

Look very closely at Drescher, and look where he ends.

Re: Let's not start blaming the refs

We coached and played pretty well in this game. Looking a ton better than when we were 0-4 and 0-3.

Great play the Broncos and they got the call on the sideline. Maybe we need to work on changing snap count for kicks; the defense should not be able to time it like Frogger LOL
