Crusader,
Not sure if you already read this but I thought it was worth sharing. NFL owners, coaches say a developmental league is needed and here's what's brewing - CBSSports.com |

Simplify playbook..too many opportunities for inconsistent interpretation, which we see every week....not sure on full time zebras....do like the developmental league idea, and no it is not college football. Send Goodell to N. Korea.

Re: Restoring the NFL, what would you do?
I understand that the NFL, and therefore the salary cap, due to lot of money because of television deals --- and that means commercial advertisements from companies that pay lots of money because the popularity of NFL draws viewers. However, when there are so many commercial breaks, many people, like I do, channel surf and don't even see those advertisements and even miss when coverage of the game resumes. So it would seem to me that he would be more effective for companies that advertise to have less commercial breaks therefore making consumers more likely to stay on that channel that the game is on and actually pay attention to whenever there is a commercial break. Please, for the love of all that is holy, STOP with the commercial breaks after every score and then after that break show the kickoff sailing through the end zone and then have another commercial break!

During Thanksgiving today I was thinking what how weird it must be to go to an NFL game these days. With all the stoppages and players just wandering around it must feel like a zombie fashion show sometimes not football.
