Carolina game we turned the ball over twice but were still in a position to come back until the kick was blocked. Who would have thought at the start of the season that our D would be the most consistent unit over the last 5 weeks, even the offense is killing us recently. |

Did the bucs win in KC? They were in the redzone FIVE TIMES. You can say it was because of no Peters but seriously, physical playmakers on offense matter.
We were not in the redzone in KC five times. Yeah something needs to be addressed there. |

Oh, and btw KC losing means they lose at Atlanta. So we need Atlanta to lose to Arizona and LA or we have to sweep the NFC West.

Re: Next offseason we need to re-establish our identity
What is sorely missing this year is the screen passing game. I was hoping Ingram would get more work in that area, but he probably isn't the answer for that. I doubt Murphy and Cadet are either. Get that fixed, continue working on fixing the defense (secondary going to need another rebuild) and things should turn around quick. IMO the ideal identity for the Saints will be one who can control the clock with a good running game and screen passing game, who can hit deep and quick with WR/TE. That should allow an improved defense to gamble a little for creating turnovers, but stable enough to get off the field when necessary.

Swagger infusion for the secondary via the draft. Sell out and trade up
04 *Jabrill Peppers SS/FS/OLB/KR Michigan 6002 205 4.42 #5 rSo Mr versatility The premier Swiss army knife weapon. Ultimate upside chess piece player. He may not be the most technically sound player in coverage as a pure safety at the next level, All Pro SS potiential right out the gates. Perinnal All Pro FS down the road? single-high safety capabilities are there. Stand pat and pray but i still have some doubts: open-field tackling. besides in the box safety play seems to be solid. Jamal Adams SS LSU 5115 211 4.54 #33 Jr extremely violent. in the box down hill tackler. has just about every attribute imaginable. capable of being the QB of the defense. Needs to work on is his open-field tackling, but everything else is there for him. He’s a proven leader with the instincts and athleticism to become a serious threat in the league Still think we will be picking between 10 and 20 so odds are secondary may not be issue by the time we pick. Others to watch Quincy Wilson CB/FS Florida 6012 211 4.54 #6 Jr Cordrea Tankersley CB/FS Clemson 6002 195 4.48 #25 Sr Justin Evans FS/CB Texas A&M 6001 195 4.52 #14 Jr *Quin Blanding FS/SS Virginia 6011 205 4.58 #3 Jr Rasul Douglas, CB West Virginia 6012 208 4.46 #13 rSr Nate Gerry SS Nebraska 6015 220 4.58 #25 Sr Kevin King CB/SS/FS Washington 6032 192 4.56 #20 Sr Obi Melifonwu S/OLB UConn 6032 216 4.58? #20 rSr Channing Stribling CB Michigan 6011 176 4.52 #8 Sr Chidobe Awuzie CB Colorado 5113 205 4.56 #4 Sr They all have one thing in common. attitude What a great year to over load training camp with secondary players. This could go down as one of the deepest secondary drafts in history. If most declare. What a great year to trade back in one and recovery some of those picks we given away. |

But the 4-6 current record are not for the same reasons as the past couple of seasons. SFIAH |

Re: Next offseason we need to re-establish our identity
Hopefully we can re-establish our identity real quick and pick up a wild card just for the fun of it. I hate rooting for other teams post season.
