Update: The Cowboys have told Nguyen and his agent, Jim Steiner, that he won't be part of any trade for Saints defensive end Darren Howard, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Recommendation: Nguyen is not the prototypical Bill Parcells, 3-4 linebacker, but Dallas apparently doesn't want to lose his play-making ability.

Keep in mind everyone with the Vikings said Moss was staying put. and everyone with the Redskins said Coles wasn\'t going anywhere. The NFL is full of lies and BS.

However, I doubt we get Dat.

I would find it hard to beleive that we would get both Nat and a number 2 pick. Seems high for Howard. I could see them offering one of their number 1\'s (the 20th pick) more readily.

Yeah, that was my reasoning for doubting any such trade with Dallas... A decent player we can argue we need and a second rounder... suspicious.

Dat is more than \'decent\'. The 2002 & 2003 seasons, he played like an all pro. Had a bit of a down year last year but everyone on that defense did.

I agree....some people are just good ball players, and Dat\'s one of them.

I\'m very encouraged that they are at least trying valiantly to address the LB corps.

This is where Hype gets to get out of hand. Players get talked about and let the hype begin. I hate to debate Dat in this thread as a player... this was merely to discuss the supposed trade. Dat is a good MLB, Pro-Bowl potential??? not likely. Lets not make him bigger than superman. He has a good year and less than average years. I think he could be a decent fit there in New Orleans, but lets not over hype this guy.
