'Closed mouths don't get fed,' Saints' Brandin Cooks said of expressing frustration | NOLA.com

Cooks insists that expressing his frustration is not coming from a selfish place....whilst he complains that he was not utilised and the offense completely steam rolled one of the best Defenses in the league.

Sounds pretty selfish to me, thinking entirely of his own stats and not the final score.

Do you think someone who is a number 1 receiver in college is just gonna be able to play 100% when he does not get close to the same volume? But at the same time, not targeting him at all in a game one time is not a big deal but in most games he needs to be targeted. I mean he doesn't get even 10 targets most games. This is what you get with ANY number receiver in college. Colston was a lucky pick because he was a rare number 1 but he didn't play for a big school either.

I would understand if we had lost and he could have helped, but the rams bracketed him and Brees did the right thing by throwing to the open receiver.

I mean come on, your team just won by 28 points. When Cooks had the long TD's people were flying over there to congratulate him, it's a shame he can't be grown up enough to return the favour.

Marques Colston was fiercely competitive, but always stayed professional.

Dizz, have you seen Cooks ranting after a game?

He's a guy who's busted his arse to be among the top 10 receivers in the NFL.

He wants to eat and on the back end of a rookie contract (2017 + 1), he needs to enhance his numbers for free agency...

He's got a pretty good resume going right now. Someone will pay as long as he stays healthy.

Be careful what you wish for Cooks, last couple players to voice their opinions got shipped off to mediocre offenses

If there is one thing the Saints are consistent about... it's not needing a number 1 WR to be productive on offense.

Cooks should be careful and choose his words wisely, because he isn't demonstrating the kind of professionalism and maturity with these comments that we expected to see.

Amazing to me that a guy like Dez Bryant has handled himself better in this same situation this year...
