If this is all he said, no harm, no foul.

But if he continues to go to the press to vent his frustrations, then he should go somewhere else. He's a hot commodity right now and teams like the Bears, Rams and 49ers, would probably be willing to give up a good draft pick for his services.

He also needs to understand that players on winning teams get remembered and all players on an NFL roster have three responsibilities...

1) Help the team win
2) Help the team win
3) Help the team win

I love having him in the black and gold but he's not irreplaceable.

Doesn't sound selfish sounds like he felt left out of the win I would too If Im the #1 WR on the team & I get zero targets not that he didn't score or have any TD's because he wasn't Targeted as WR whose team was kicking the Rams a$$ I would've felt at least a little left out He feels like he didn't contribute but It's cool Sunday you're going to have plenty coming your way Cooks I actually like that attitude

I don't get why y'all are getting so bent out of shape. What did Cooks say that was so wrong? It sounds like a bunch of dogs in here. Y'all hear someone bark at nothing and then every dog in the neighborhood starts barking with no idea of what they are barking at.

Sounds to me like he is saying that you can't take things personally and he needs to suck it up and be a professional.

That's what happens when teams are afraid of ya. Had they not doubled him, he would have torched 'em. They doubled him and got torched by someone else.

I don't think it was just this game. If the FO can ever realize Coleman is a better play than Snead in road games, then maybe Cooks has more scoring opportunities than he gets. He didn't score against Carolina, Seattle, SF. SF because it was one of those easier games where you don't need to play your best players to win. But games like at Carolina he could have had more chances if the saints moved down the field better. We can all talk about how mediocre Coleman is all we want but he does play better than Snead on the road. Snead really hurts us in road games.

Coleman is the worst receiver consistence wise in the lineup.

How about the road games vs Giants and Panthers, two games were Coleman had the chance to make huge grabs on game winning drives and he dropped them in both games.

I don't think it's just that. I think when he addressed the media last Thursday, he said "Quiet mouths don't get fed."

People can take things how they want. While I agree that his first tweet or whatever could have been taken the wrong way, his address to the media wasn't. When a guy says quiet mouths don't get fed after his first initial tweet, it's easy to deduce that he was probably complaining about the lack of targets.

Now I'm a Cooks fan. I think he's awesome. But I don't necessarily believe that what everyone is saying is wrong. You need to remember that he's the one who went on social media in the first place. Then met with the press later that same week and again said some things that point towards him complaining. And it was after a big win.

We're fans of a team that (recently) typically hasn't had any loud mouths on the team, at least very long.

There's nothing wrong with fans voicing displeasure over this. And I don't think anyone here wants to see him leave. But indicating a "me first attitude" isn't going to win the majority of this fan base over.

And I tend to agree with the majority here about him sounding a little selfish. A win is a win. And he did help, just not with catches.

And in the end, if it's deemed acceptable for a player to complain about his lack of plays in a big win, then it also should be acceptable for the fans of that team to complain about the same player *****ing.

A fan base is mostly compromised of people who are more loyal to the team, not an individual player.

Re: Source: Brandin Cooks frustrated with his role on offense

Being the fastest player on the field most games, I keep waiting for Drew to hit him 35 yards downfield on a post route a'la Robert Meechem.

He's a true deep threat and we should use him to get ahead and stay ahead.

It was early in the season against the giants. But Coleman did get a TD catch that helped us almost win in Carolina. But just look Snead's average in road games compared to home games. Even in tough home matchups he has issues but certainly benefitted this year from being overlooked for Thomas. I mean that TD week 2 was a fluke and he was coming off a volumic start. Now that he's been relegated to number three-four territory, his true colors show. In KC he was targeted on that int by Brees that changed the outlook of that whole game. He's just not big enough to overcome physical defenses on the road. At least Coleman can catch some big passes. If Cooks and Thomas have trouble, very good chance Coleman will step up for them. His mostly bad catches have been when those two are making plays. He helped us when we needed it against Carolina. There are receivers that just require volume and Coleman's one of them. You will see week 15 in Arizona which is not gonna be as easy as y'all think it's gonna be. I don't consider TB to be a tough road game.

How was Snead's TD in week 2 a fluke?

He find the gap in coverage, Brees threw it, Snead caught it. Touchdown.

Snead has some of the most reliable hands on our team, the only reason Coleman still has a spot is because he is a good blocker.

Coleman had an awful preseason, training camp and has dropped several big passes this year.
