Outside of the 09-11 years, please tell the major glaring difference between Haslett and SP? Records are all but identical

No one has a crystal ball to predict what will happen. The best predictor of future results is past results. All these excuses about injuries blah blah blah - I guarantee you every team playing in the post season this year and for the past 50+ years in the NFL had to deal with injuries. The good coaches/GM's overcome that with good drafting, picking up good FA's, and coaching. Honestly, I think Loomis is more to blame than Payton, but Payton had a big hand in all 3 factors that I mentioned above.

stop making sense, New England lost their top two starting QB's and won a game. IT'S NOT SP'S FAULT!

The 09-11 years are the main difference. A Superbowl win buys you a whole lot of patience from a owner of a franchise that was horrible for decades.

It does

No, I think he's guaranteeing another 7-9 season because all of Sean's sister wives are staying on the staff. They seem to be very adept at making a great player good and a good player not so good. We'll again snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by doing all the little things right. You know, missing tackles, lazy route running, not having any lanes to stay in, missing field goals, running backwards on punt returns....

When you're losing everyone goes to IR, that's the secret coaches friend.

Just want to make sure that the 7-9 seasons haven't been a result of poor FA judgement and drafting? Cause we have got a lot out of Byrd, Champ, laurinaitis, Browner, Spiller

Don't even get us started on the draft classes over the last 5 seasons.

Maybe the problems are poor cap management for years, bad FA contracts and signings, and poor draft evaluations. Yeah, that seems fairly accurate.

I'll agree with you that bad decisions WERE made, but look at the last two drafts. They have actually been quite good. The team is trending upward and cannot be judged upon past decisions come and gone at this point.

And you guarantee all of this, right? You and your crystal ball?

One or two key additions and a healthy roster can work wonders. Just ask the Cowboys. People were saying exactly the same thing about Garret as y'all are saying about Payton. The Saints were a handful of plays away from a 12-4 season. They can easily finish there or better next season with what they currently have in place.

Um yeah..............because Jerry went and got an offensive line. What was Dallas's records before that? Three straight seasons of 8-8.

As an LSU fan, I always get a little nervous when I hear "I'll definitely be back".
